NATURAL HAZARDS OF THE NORTH COAST

Oregon's North Coast is susceptible to a number of natural hazards. Storms lash the coastal areas causing flooding, erosion and landslides. Tectonic activity results in increased likelihood of tsunamis. Climate change impacts animals and plants, as well as humans. This section provides background and information about many natural hazard topics relevant to the North Coast.
