RESTORATION PROJECTS IN THE NORTH COAST BASIN
A fundamental component of the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds is the voluntary actions of private citizens and landowners, working in partnership with federal, state, and local groups to improve aquatic habitat and water quality conditions. Information shown in the map is from the Oregon Watershed Restoration Inventory. Restoration projects denoted occurred between 1997 and 2003, and include on-the-ground efforts such as instream, riparian, wetland, upland, road, monitoring and fish passage projects. Voluntary reporting comprises over 80% of the data received by the Oregon Watershed Restoration Inventory. Please note, though, restoration projects shown on the map do not include all federal land management agency activities.
